At Casa Verde, the landscape does not stop at the glass.
Water, vegetation and shifting Queensland light are drawn inward through a palette of translucent green stone, pale limestone, warm timber, aged metal and softly textured fabrics.
The feature stone was selected for its mineral layers of sage, ivory and amber, colours that quietly trace the waterline and greenery beyond.
The seven senses shaped the interior as a series of deliberate encounters. Sightlines are held toward the cove. Stone changes character as daylight moves through it. Textured upholstery and hand-finished surfaces bring contrast beneath the hand.
Even the staircase carries the idea forward, rippled glass catches and distorts light like water, while brass edges and mineral surfaces introduce warmth against its transparency.
In the cinema, deeper materials absorb sound and light, in the kitchen and dining spaces, stone becomes the setting for the rituals of preparing, serving and gathering.
Casa Verde is less about applying a palette than allowing the site to determine one, translating water, vegetation, light and material provenance into the interior.
